Discreet Interior Protection System — built into your ceilings, invisible to occupants, and ready to Deter, Disrupt, and Delay™ active threats in seconds.
System in Action
Ceiling-mounted nozzles saturate the hallway with REPULS® within seconds of operator activation. Subject incapacitated in less than 40 feet.
Multi-Zone Coverage
SentriZone protects multiple zones simultaneously — vestibule, lobby, hallways, and classrooms — from a single integrated system.
Overview
SentriZone is a stand-alone Discreet Interior Protection system designed to Deter, Disrupt, and Delay™ active threats inside buildings. Using pressurized water with active ingredients, the system rapidly incapacitates a perpetrator — irritating eyes, nose, lungs, and throat, and stinging the skin — rendering them unable to continue violent behavior within seconds of activation.
The system can be installed in entrances, vestibules, lobbies, hallways, common areas, offices, classrooms, and any area deemed vulnerable by the building owner. Full coverage ensures a threat cannot move to an unprotected area to continue violence.
Fire and Building Codes do not address or limit installation of the SentriZone system. SentriZone is installed and commissioned by certified dealers with annual certification requirements for proper maintenance and operation.
Concealed ceiling-mounted nozzles deliver REPULS® — a patented water-based chemical irritant — across designated zones upon operator activation.
An authorized operator visually confirms the threat via zone camera, then deploys from a secure, remote touchscreen location. A two-step confirmation prevents accidental deployment.
The system is a closed, hardwired design — non-wireless by architecture — protecting against cyber threats.
System Details
| Appearance | Concealed in mechanical spaces and ceilings, or as pendants in open ceilings |
| Mounting Location | Vulnerable areas: building entrances, lobbies, offices, hallways, and common areas |
| Activation | System touchscreen per design; locations determined by facility personnel |
| Deployment of REPULS® | A water-based spray with active ingredients — not a fog or aerosol — that does not impede egress |
| Deployment Duration | 5, 10, or 15-second bursts of REPULS® solution, dependent on location and engineered specifications |
| Exposure to REPULS® | Irritated eyes, nose, throat, and skin; short-term involuntary eye closure, coughing, and breathing discomfort |
| Mitigation | Easy mitigation with abundant flushing of face with water and fresh air |
| Active Ingredients | pH of 5.6–5.8. Less relative toxicity than vinegar, common name brand sodas, or many common household products |
| Cleanup | Dilution with water and detergent, followed by extraction and air circulation |
| Control Panel | Hardwired system with UL listed panel and components |
| Certification | Installed by certified authorized dealers/integrators with annual system certification requirements |
| Options | Gunshot sensors and artificial intelligence weapon identification |
System Components
Cabinet-mounted unit housing tank, 12 VDC pump, and plenum-rated piping. UL listed, built to resist tampering, locked for security. Scalable for multi-zone deployments.
Patented water-based chemical irritant approved for indoor use. Used by law enforcement, hospitals, airports, and cruise ships as a non-lethal deterrent. Easier mitigation than pepper spray.
Low-profile nozzles concealed in suspended ceiling grid or as pendants in open ceilings. Each nozzle covers 144 sq ft. Full-coverage design prevents threat from reaching unprotected areas.
Central UL-listed control panel, custom factory-programmed per order. Houses 12 VDC battery backup. Communicates with all touchscreens, alerting devices, and zone cameras.
Industrial-grade tethered touchscreen for easy navigation and rapid deployment. Non-wireless for cybersecurity. Each station monitors up to four zones simultaneously.
ONVIF-compliant cameras installed in each zone so operators can visually analyze and confirm a threat before deploying REPULS®. Cameras must cover the complete zone.
Manual emergency alert buttons distributed throughout the facility. Optional gunshot detection sensors (dual sound and pressure sensors, one per room) also available.
Factory configured and programmed. Intuitive touchscreen interface. Scalable for large multi-zone installations. Desk stand included; tamper-resistant design.
Engineering
Every SentriZone installation requires a certified site survey to engineer the system to the facility's specific needs.
Basic Requirements
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Network | POE for controls and supervision |
| Cabling | CAT 5e/6; POE I/O modules |
| Mechanical Space | 16" minimum ceiling cavity |
| Deployment Duration | 5, 10, or 15-second bursts |
| Coverage per Nozzle | 144 sq ft |
| REPULS® pH | 5.6–5.8 |
| Certification | Crotega-certified installer required |
Operation
The SentriZone user interface consists of one or more POE-tethered touchscreen stations located throughout the facility where trained personnel can quickly respond to an alert. The system is a closed, hardwired design — non-wireless by architecture.
SentriZone will control single or multiple zones and is scalable to control entire facilities or multiple buildings on the same campus via high-quality secure fiber optic connections.
Each touchscreen station can monitor four zones simultaneously.
REPULS® Deterrent Agent
REPULS® is a patented, water-based deterrent spray approved for indoor use. It delivers a strong, consistent, targeted stream — unlike aerosol pepper spray — and mitigates completely with water in under 5 minutes.
REPULS is already trusted across a wide range of professional and public-safety environments:
Used by police and private security as a non-lethal replacement for handheld pepper spray — with greater coverage and easier mitigation.
Deployed in facilities requiring discreet, safe deterrents that won't harm patients or staff and can be quickly mitigated in clinical environments.
Trusted in high-traffic, high-security terminals where rapid, targeted deterrence is required without disrupting egress or triggering cross-contamination.
Used in enclosed marine environments where traditional aerosol sprays are prohibited — REPULS's water-based formula is safe for indoor, ventilated spaces.
Approved for indoor use in K–12 and higher education facilities — providing active threat deterrence without risk of permanent harm to students or staff.
Ideal for any soft-target interior where occupants need protection but visible security infrastructure is undesirable or impractical.
